Atlanta Regional Commission - Livable Centers Initiatives (LCI)

Grice Consulting Group completed Twenty-one (21) Study Areas and Nine (9) Corridors. The study areas and corridors LCI plans included a redevelopment plan to guide future development, transportation improvements and a streetscape and beautification plan that supports the community vision. Grice Consulting Group led a multi-disciplinary team in the development of the LCI plans.

The project consists of four elements:

• Vision: Incorporated public input and redevelopment considerations into an integrated vision and strategy.
• Redevelopment and Land Use Planning: Identified assets that can be built upon to attract growth that enhanced the community.
• Transportation, Landscape and Streetscape: Identified transportation, landscape and streetscape improvements that improve the pedestrian realm, increase vehicular and pedestrian safety and security, improve area aesthetics, and other gateway or signature features in the public right-of-way.
• Implementation: Identified strategies that outlined the next steps for the community, with prioritized actions and accompanying information.
